Home Furniture Plus Bedding is Open

We are thrilled to announce that Home Furniture Plus Bedding is open and ready to serve all of your home decorating needs! While we attend to helping you find a sofa that fits your every need or an accent piece to give your home that extra special something, we want to ensure that you, our valued customer, as well as our staff, are safe throughout your shopping experience. Allow us to tell you the steps we’re taking to comply with CDC guidelines.

Here are some guidelines for both shoppers and staff as we navigate this new normal:

● Employees must wear masks and must not report to work if they have a fever or symptoms.

● Customers must also not have symptoms and must maintain the six feet distancing mandate.

● A maximum of 25% of a building's occupancy can only be allowed in any establishment at a given time.

Aside from following CDC guidelines, we’ll be taking extra steps to sanitize our stores and follow our Cleaning Checklist:

● Clean commonly used spaces and equipment often including telephones, keyboards, counters, tablets, light switches, and door handles.

● Sanitize restrooms and breakrooms frequently and restock with supplies including soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizer.

How to Coronavirus-Proof Your Home
How to Coronavirus-Proof Your Home

Life under the coronavirus means staying home as much as possible – but it is inevitable that you’ll have to make that eventual trip to the grocery store or pharmacy. Home Furniture Plus Bedding is here with some helpful tips and tricks for East Texas and Louisiana communities to make sure you don’t bring the virus back home with you.

While we’re here to help, you should always follow the orders of your physician, local, state, and the federal government.

Make A Plan and Stick To It

● Designate one member of your household to run errands. This will limit the number of people entering stores as well as leaving your house.

● Set up a sanitizing station. This should be an area outside of your home where you can disinfect your packages.

While You’re Out

● Practice social distancing – do not come within six feet of others.

● If possible, wipe down the handles of shopping carts and baskets.

● Wear gloves and a mask to cover your nose and mouth. If you do not have gloves or a mask, wash and sanitize your hands frequently and avoid touching your face.

● Do not touch anything you do not intend on buying.

When You Return Home

● Take off your shoes and put them in a designated area before you walk through your house.

● Wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 30 seconds. Pick a song you love and sing the chorus twice in your head – that should do the trick!

● Disinfect takeout boxes and packaged foods at your sanitizing station.

● Thoroughly wash produce before placing it in your kitchen or fridge.
